Ashley Watts

In Photography 1 I learned how to use photographs to capture moments in time, but to do that in an interesting way. For example, I learned how to crop the photos within the camera in a way that would be interesting to the viewer. Also, I have learned the importance of arranging photos in such a way as to tell an interesting story. I have learned that photography is more than simply taking pictures; it's about carefully developing the film, creating successful prints, and learning from mistakes made... and I have learned that there will be many made. I also learned how to spell camera.

In the future, I plan to continue finding interesting moments in life to capture with film. I will always have a working camera at hand.

As of right now, I'm a full-time student at the U of M and I work part-time at the university, as well as an employee for safety and health.

My majors are Art and Spanish, as I plan to be a translator for the Foreign Mission Board.
